Have a look at the link for features of conversation on the Lit Notes website. It has several useful pages which are likely directed at English Language students. But they are still useful of students of Literature and Language.
Check out the "features of language page" by scrolling down on the left hand column. There, you will find out about 'adjacency pairs' and how you can examine 'power' or who has 'dominance' in conversations. Litnotes
